Design is underway for sprinkler installation and renovation. Construction documents are expected in late July 2013, with construction planned for Summer 2014.
Bids are due on this project July 2, 2013. Construction is anticipated to begin in December 2013.
The project will demolish two existing metal buildings, which are used to park maintenance trucks and also for minor storage. They will be replaced with two slightly larger metal buildings on the same site. The new buildings will include overhead doors, which will allow the buildings to be completely enclosed. They will keep the maintenance trucks free of ice and snow and ready to go.
Construction of the Day Care Center is continuing on the lower level of the building. Completion is anticipated by July 3, 2013. The site is the former First Presbyterian Church building in Boone.
Completion is anticipated in mid-July. The work consisted of: new lobby elevator, improvements for patron accessibility, new restrooms on first and second floors, renovation of existing restrooms, new acoustical surfaces in auditorium, new orchestra pit lift, new finishes in lobby and auditorium, reworking of auditorium floor to improve sightlines, improved sound system, new catering and concession space.
Construction is underway, with a mid-August completion date.
This project repairs waterproofing issues and replaces the retaining wall and sidewalk on the west side of the buildings.
The project includes pedestrian circulation improvements, paving of Joyce Lawrence Road, new retaining wall, and some minor utility work.
Monumental stairway construction is underway, with completion anticipated in September 2013. The larger renovation project includes the upfit for the upper level, fire protection and fire alarms on all floors. LS3P was selected as the designer. It is anticipated that the construction for this larger renovation will begin Spring/Summer of 2014, with completion by Fall 2014 semester.
Sprinkler installation is underway in this building and progressing as expected.
